Participate in team-based geography trivia, Geoguessr challenges, and other interactive activities during our club sessions.
Field Trips
Visit Chicago-based geographic institutions and exhibits unique to the city, including map collections, museums, and consulates.
Guest Lectures
Attend original lectures hosted by guest speakers in relevant geographic and spatial science fields.
Career & Skill Development
Enhance your professional skills through career talks with UCGEO alumni and professors, plus hands-on tutorials for GIS tools and software used in spatial science careers.

About
UCGEO was founded in 2022 in response to the lack of geography-related opportunities for students, particularly after the College's cancellation of the Geography major. Since then, we've quickly grown to become a core part of the campus community.
Our weekly meetings typically draw 25-35 students who share an interest in spatial sciences and geographic exploration. Whether you're a lifelong geography expert or simply curious about the world around you, UCGEO offers opportunities to learn, connect, and discover the relevance of geography in everyday life.
Our capstone events include semi-monthly student delegation trips to Chicagoland consulates, campus-wide geography tournaments, interactive geography-related simulations, and, of course, end-of-quarter festivities!
